My attention to detail is a gift and a curse.

You're currently viewing the second layout to ever grace The Remembrance Network. Now why is it called The Dragon's Second and what inspired the theme? Frankly, I've been falling out of many things. I haven't read a new manga in a while, and I've neglected many anime shows recently. Now how is it I spend my days? I'm either studying for college... or dealing with personal issues that deter me from pursuing any interest in my usual hobbies. I do have a renewed interest in movies and television shows, but they don't inspire me to do anything in Photoshop, to say the least. This is a new take on something more "personal," but not really. For someone who was born in the year of the dragon, the idea was appealing. It's general, yet still attached to me. It also poses a layout with a longer life span than most other ones. I don't do well with current obsessions. My work ethics don't keep up with my changing interests as well as I'd like.

The current layout is a product of forced labor. I pushed myself although I lacked any motivation, but as I started to tinker with the colors, I started to feel the layout mojo kicking in. That's right, I've got layout mojo. The usual colors I was pumping out—you know the black with hot red on papery brown? It all seemed too predictably me. The Dragon's Second still has the texture flare and the reds but there are teal, orange, and gray to spice it up a bit. It's a small deviation, but I suppose even a few months away doesn't affect personal style.

Kick me if you will, but the two main images (the dragon and the waterfall) of this layout came from Google, and I didn't take note of where they came from. Forgive me for being so negligent. If anyone wants to nitpick at details, I don't profit from the use of these images except to maybe get a couple of rubs against my ego. But no, there's no money in this. If there were, I'm sure I'd be updating this domain more frequently. Textures are from dearest and Hybrid-genesis like always.

There are a couple of scripts in use for this layout. As I mentioned before, JavaScript should be enabled by your browser in order to fully experience the intended effect. The hover-over navigation was something I borrowed from my sister Suzumi who borrowed it from Janice who got it from... well, I don't know. It was written by Walter Zorn, so there you go! The script for the click-on submenus was found at Dynamic Drive. The random link generator at the top is powered by a script found at java-scripts.net. I might've left something out... but if there's something else you would like to know, just contact me. Kids, I leave you some words of wisdom: smoking kills.
